In all microprocessor-based systems there is a need to enhance the communications between
major circuit elements. Logic and bus interface circuits fundamentally do
this by tying larger circuits tegoether to form a complete interactive
system, much the same as a freeway connects several cities. These
circuits are relatively small, providing some additional functionality,
but primarily drive, a feature required to allow data to pass over larger
and longer buses. The larger the system, the larger the interconnection
between system circuit elements, and the greater the need for the use of
bus interface devices.
IDT pioneered the use of CMOS technology to build these interface circuits
at performance levels great enough for today's high-performance systems.
IDT currently builds hundreds of logic products, each tailored to meet
design engineer's specific system requirements.
IDT is a leading supplier of high-speed bus interface circuits that
work with 3.3 volt power supplies, required by today's fastest
microprocessors, as well as traditional 5 volt products.
